These are just some guidelines so you don't go faceplant at GtD. You follow these rules, we're okay with that, and no one has to get warned or have rules added to the rule list.

Rule breakages are dealt with on a case-by-case basis.
Rules Thou Shalt Not Break
These are the rules admins will say a biglarge no-no to.
1.) Absolutely NO pornography, racism, or anything distasteful, graphic, and/or hateful. No content over PG-13.
Proboards' rule, not ours. We are not allowed to have ANY content over PG-13, regardless of tagging/artistic motive/whatever. None of this will be tolerated as it could result in the board being deleted.
2.) No double-posting, spamming, one-word posts, or anything like that.
We'll be a little lenient on this rule, because computers malfunction and sometimes post more then you want it to. However, become acquainted with the edit and delete buttons. You are allowed to delete your posts, and if you want to add something onto a post, use the edit button. This is here just because those sort of things shouldn't be a problem.
This rule doesn't apply to the spam thread, except for double-posting.
3.) No illegal content.
This means no links, discussion (except in debate), and participation. Keep it in PM or off the site. We cannot deal with the legal issues that will invariably come to us.
4.) No powerplaying, godmodding, and what-have-you.
Don't play someone else's character for them. Perfect scenario of a godmodder:
He let the arrow fly, and it hit her right in the chest.
Uhm? What about the her? Yeah, she should roleplay it believably, but you're making her get shot with an arrow!
5.) Currently, no character limit; usernames should be the name of your first.
As of right now, there is no character limit. Your username should be that of the character that was accepted first, but if you have one that you play way more than that, then you can change it to that name.
Each of those characters most be marginally active! Nothing is weirder than an unactive character. Besides Aimée Faye.

Encouragements More Than Rules
These "rules" are more of encouragements, but please don't break them.
1.) No excessive smilies or images.
Smilies and images are priviliges, not rights. If you start abusing the smilies, they will go bye-bye.
2.) Don't abuse the chatspeak.
It's great for fun or if your fingers are tired, but do you realize how hard it is to read stuff like l33t sp3ak? (Is that even right?)
3.) No avatars larger than 100x100, or signatures (text and images together) larger than 700x500.
You can't surpass the avatar size, haha. However, we do ask that your whole signature, text and images together, be no larger than 700x500 - which is really large anyways.
5.) Posted images larger than 700x500 MUST have a thumbnail or link.
This is huge enough. Images larger than the signature size limit need to be linked out, or thumbnailed.
6.) No heavy animations.
A little animation is all fine and dandy. (ELLE: But I've noticed that when I run into a place where everything is animated my computer slows...down....and.....stops. Like a merry-go-round breaking down.) So please, no uber animation, yes?

Rules of Parentage and Other Shiny Things
1) In GtD, we are disregarding the No Children of Big Three/Hera Rule.
That means Big Three kids and Hera kids are allowed. But Thai is very possessive of having the only Hades kid, so RAWRZ.
2) However, we are still observing the Children of Artemis rule.
Unless you have a really, really good reason as to why Artemis would have a child, don't apply for a child of Artemis.
3) Foreign demigods -- i.e., demigods with a parent of a different pantheon -- require backstories explaining why they wouldn't be in their own country or camp.
Foreign demigods have a separate application to be filled out if you are applying for one. This includes a required history.
4) Demi-demigods are allowed.
Children of two demigods are just as half-blooded as demigods concentrate, but their blood is a little more diluted. That doesn't make them any less nummy for monsters. So children of two demigods are allowed in GtD, although you (probably) won't see them in PJatO canon.
5) Just So You Don't Get Squicked...
During your time at GtD, you may see characters actually -- gasp! -- date each other. "Isn't that incest?" you ask? Well have we got a surprise for you!
In TLO, the last PJatO book, Riordan reveals that everyone's okay with dating each other in Camp; gods technically don't have DNA, so it's not as if anyone is genetically related, even though gods know everyone in mythology is.

... we will probably add onto this when we get things sorted out.
